Bookaboo is ITV’s first new children’s commission in 18 months and it’s being produced by BAFTA Award winning producer Lucy Goodman and her company, Happy Films. It’s a 13x10’ multi-platform live action and animation series about a famous drum playing ‘rock puppy’ who can’t perform his solo unless he’s been read a story.

This is the first time that ITV and Happy Films have used the RED camera and they secured 4K London's services to manage their on-set data management and their workflow through post-production. Lucy opted to assemble their footage on location in North London, so 4K London set up a fully RED-ready Final Cut Pro suite and our edit assistant, Ben Hunt, ingested the data and provided the rough-cuts each day. Matt Platts-Mills has guided the Happy Films team through each stage of the process, trouble-shooting any data-conversion and extraction issues and the series is looking fantastic.
